Mr. Peter King: Non-Executive Chairman
Mr. King has a long and distinguished professional and public career. He is a Rhodes Scholar and a practicing barrister specializing primarily in commercial and public law at Queen's Square Chambers Sydney, Australia. Formerly he was a Federal Member of Parliament and local mayor, chair of a successful political organization, and of a major division of UNESCO in Paris. Mr. King has also had a particular interest and long standing association with defense issues. He retired as Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy, was an officer in the Naval Reserves, and as a Member of Parliament he took a special interest in Defense and Police issues, and was patron of a major returned soldiers organization. Mr. King's government, legal and defense experience and contacts will help to guide and govern the company.
Mr. Jim Hallam: Non-Executive Director
Mr. Hallam is the Managing Director and founder of Turnberry Funds Management. Turnberry Funds Management is a specialist funds management company managing the Turnberry Private Equity Fund which invests in businesses with an enterprise value of $10m to 50m. Prior to establishing Turnberry in 2007, Mr. Hallam spent 9 years at Hastings Funds Management as its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the publically listed Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund. Prior to Hastings Mr. Hallam held senior finance positions with the Bell Securities and the Over 50s Investment Group, Mr. Hallam has a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, is a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the FINSIA and the Company Secretaries of Australia.
Mr. Andrew Paice: Non-Executive Director
Mr. Paice has worked in a variety of senior finance roles across a broad spectrum of industries. Mr. Paice has lived and worked internationally and in Turkey managed the regional financial affairs of a global pharmaceutical organization. Mr. Paice also played a lead role in developing and implementing a shared services infrastructure for global pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb delivering to the organization substantial operations savings through the alignment of critical resources and infrastructure across all operating divisions. Mr. Paice has a bachelor of business majoring in accounting from Swinburne University.
Mr. Jack Kerins: Chief Executive Officer SBL USA
Mr. Kerins has a 20 year history of successfully transitioning organizations from start up through to successful multi million dollar enterprises. He has experience both within the public company sector and privately funded enterprises and has managed IPO’s, multiple acquisitions and a number of complex technology based businesses operating in stringent regulatory environments. Mr. Kerins’ industry experience spans IT, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Nanotechnology industries, the development and management of business to business sales models and, the successful raising of venture capital and government funded development grants. He has also developed and managed successful multinational joint venture operations across Europe, Japan and in Australia. Mr. Kerins has a bachelor of political science from Trenton State College New Jersey and MBS studies at Drexel University.
Dr. Ming Sun PhD: Director Research & Development SBL USA
A former Project Manager at Abbott Labs and Becton Dickinson Immunodiagnostics Division in the 1970's & 1980s as well as Director and VP of R&D in several additional biotech companies prior to the inception of Sun Biomedical Laboratories Inc. Dr. Sun is personally responsible for the development of the Sun Biomedical’s core IP and the benchmark OraLine product. He founded and then managed Sun Biomedical for 14 years and is now focused on the development of the next generation of oral-fluid immunoassay devices and the transference of his knowledge and experience with saliva diagnostics to the next generation of SBL scientists.
